This is a modern 12 or 20-panel over-bust corset pattern with a beautiful hour-glass curve to accentuate your waist (3'' waist reduction on standard sizes) - bust sizes A - G. ALSO INCLUDES A 25 PAGE DOCUMENT OF CORSET CONSTRUCTION NOTES!
The 12-panel version replaces panels 1-6 directly under the bust section with a two-panel section. The under-bust is a little lower on this design sitting at approximately 11.5cm above the waist (as opposed to 12.5cm above the waist with the 20 panel design), and the over hip curve is a little higher. This alternative is good if you are strapped for time but it will not give the subtle shaping at the front that the 20-panel corset will.
Note – a 2'' back gap is factored into this pattern. If you would prefer a closed corset, add 1'' to each centre back panel 10.
The corset length measures 32cm (13'') at the front and 35cm (14'') at the back. The front panels 1-6 have bust sections marked to enable unusual juxtapositions of fabric (or leather as in the case of the example photo here). The standard cup size is a C but indicative lines are given to follow to create bust sizes B, D, DD, E, F, G ).
This pattern is drafted in AutoCAD and downloadable as a pdf file - you will need to print out on size A (letter) or A4 paper, making sure 'actual size' is ticked in your print dialogue box.
A toile must always be made to check the fit of corset patterns – at this stage you can take in the smaller of your measurements and transfer these amendments to your pattern to ensure a perfect fitting corset! You will also be able to test the length of the corset at the toile stage - lengthen or shorten just above the waist.
