Corset Pattern! The balconette. A 16 panel half-cup (demi-cup) corset pattern size (UK) 8-24, (US) 4-20
This is a 16-panel demi-bust corset pattern with a beautiful curve to accentuate your waist. Sizes (UK) 8 -24 (US 4 - 20). Attributes - low top-line finishing just above the nipple so this design is designed for either the boudoir or to be worn over clothing. The cup options are 3''(standard A-C) and +4'' (approx. D) or +5'' above the under-bust - approx DD. INCLUDES A 25 PAGE DOCUMENT OF CORSET CONSTRUCTION NOTES!
Note – no lacing gap is factored into this pattern. If you would prefer your corset to close at the back use one size smaller for a 2'' lacing gap or take off 1'' form each centre back edge.
The corset length measures 39cm at the centre back and either 32cm, 35cm, 37cm or 39cm at the centre front depending on the vertical measurement required.
This pattern is drafted in AutoCAD and available as an instant download - you will need to print out on size letter (A) or A4 paper, making sure 'actual size' and 'centre the print' is ticked in your print dialogue box.
See the photograph above for measurements - note that there are multiple size variations to this pattern (-1''/+1'' at the underbust and -2''/+2'' at the hip compared to the standard sizes) so that you can get a little closer to your required size before tweaking for that perfect fit at your toile stage.
It is recommended that you make a toile to the largest of your measurements to check the fit of the pattern – at this stage you can take in the smaller of your measurements, lengthen if need be, and transfer these amendments to your pattern to ensure a perfect fitting corset!
