PATTERN! This is a 14-panelled over-bust bodysuit pattern with a beautiful curve to accentuate your waist. Sizes (UK) 8 -22 (US 4 - 18). Approx. Cup sizes A-E. Includes 25 page manual of construction notes!
Note – no lacing gap is factored into this pattern - it is designed to close at the back.
There are three different torso lengths - one with the under-bust at 12.5cm above the waistline (standard) and one with it at 10cm above (short), and one at 15cm above (long). Instructions are given for altering this vertical height in addition to altering the horizontal measurements. It is also imperative that the under-bust needs to be placed at the under-bust position. There is a reduction of 4'' at the waist applied to the standard sizes (see measurements photo).
Please see the photo above for sizes. Note that there are different sections that are added to the waist to result in a variation of sizes other than the standard sizes. So for example, for any waist size you can pair a hip section across 4 different dress sizes (-2'', 0 standard, +2'', +4''). Similarly there are options for -1'', -2'' and +1'' on the standard underbust measurements and 6 different cup size sections. These options get you a little closer to your required measurements before you have to amend the pattern/toile - a bodysuit needs to be very closely fitted to ensure it is comfortable in length and around the legs so some tweaking of the toile will be necessary.
This pattern is drafted in AutoCAD and available as an instant download - you will need to print out on size letter (A) or A4 paper, making sure 'actual size' and 'centre the print' is ticked in your print dialogue box.
