AutoCAD and its incredible speed and versatility (if you know how!)

I have only just started drafting my own patterns and realised that the 15 years experience I have using AutoCAD can be put to very good use.
I took a photo of my paper pattern pieces, imported the .jpg file into AutoCAD, traced around the lines, scaled it, matched up the waistline, bottom and top seams, and voila!, an easily scalable, changeable drawing that I can print off to my heart's content.
